Amongst a popular music culture that often propels a damaging sense of ‘norm,’ comes a 4 piece original music pop-rock band who aim to break the cycle; promoting a positive existence through their music. Echo Embassy, formed early in 2011, features four local musicians including two members from the Regional Next Big Thing winning band ‘Walter’. Members Josh Phillips (lead vocals and guitar) and Janelle Phillips (drums), who have shared stages with some of Australia's biggest bands, including British India, Dead Letter Circus, The Calling of Levi and The Smart, are joined by Tim Cranwell (guitar) and Mike VanEck (bass). “We are keen to affirm our position in the Geraldton music scene, and then beyondâ€, says the band, after a successful debut performance at the Alee-Cat Music Festival in June. Along with Top 40 covers, the band’s true flair lies in their original music, with songs that present something for all listeners and lyrics that threaten to bring out the optimist in all of us.
