Denebola is formed during the winter of 2009 in Santiago by the soprano Yenia Saa (ex Enochian Angelus) and Patricio Pinto, Amora Morte keyboardist at that time. They would name the band Acromantica and their idea was to mainly combine rock, electronic elements and the emotive classical singing. Simon Vanderk on guitars and Alex Medina (ex Amora Morte) on bass join them not long afterwards. The quartet debut would be at Gothland at Club Miel, organized by Electroshock in December that year. After Yenia and Simon leave the band in early 2010, Kerstin Schuster and Cristian Pacheco take charge of the vocals and guitars respectively. This is when the band decides to move on under the name of Denebola, the second brightest star of the constellation of Leo. Raising habitual but profound topics like anguish or the search for love, arid and abysmal images entwine in the lyrics to reflect the diverse human circumstances and conditions. Currently Denebola have just finished recording their first EP, "Craving", looking forward to officially launching it and promoting it during the coming months.
