In 2000, Derek O'Brien brought 30+ years experience as drummer / songwriter / producer working with the likes of Social Distortion, Agent Orange, DI, Extra Fancy, The Adolescents and many others along with an Audio Engineering degree from UCLA to his house in Glendale CA to found D.O'B. Sound Recording Studio. An instant success cranking out recording after recording, D.O'B. Sound provided a comfortable, clean and relaxed (Musician Friendly) enviroment for Music Production, Recording, Mixing and Mastering.

Then in 2008, Derek partnered up with Larry Ramirez (producer, songwriter / guitarist for Second Chance and founder of Loaded Bomb Records) to take over the historical "True One and Basement Studios" 3000 square foot facility located in Santa Fe Springs, CA (equidistant to Hollywood, County and Long Beach) to merge their experience and add rehearsal rooms and guitar repair to the operation. In addition to Producing Engineering and Mastering, Derek continues to drum with Punk Rock Karaoke, The Generators and others. Larry Produces and Engineers at the new studio and continues to Write & Play guitar with Second Chance, The Lonesome Ones and others
