Colour The Sky formed in early 2009 with the goal of bringing something new to the already diverse Perth music scene. The band released a four-track demo Retreat or Face Defeat, which proved to be very popular with Perth Punters, this saw the band debut with a sold out show at YMCA HQ. With more shows and word of mouth spreading the demo did the rounds on the internet and Colour the Sky were able to go on a self managed national headlining tour alongside Sydney-siders Mayhem Addition. The tour would give the band invaluable stage experience as well gaining the band new fans nation wide, opening their eyes to the greater Australian music scene.

2011 is looking to be a big year for Colour The Sky. With the addition of another guitarist and a recent line-up change, Colour has both quickly grown and matured. Keep an ear out for their debut, full length album, later this year.
