CHRIS MADDEN
I'm Chris Madden i'm a singer / songwriter from Northern Ireland. I was born on Christmas eve 89. From an early age i was exposed to a lot of great music such as, CCR, Bob seger, Bruce Springsteen etc.
So at the age 8 i got my first guitar, which i did not want and never played. At the age of 11 or 12 i started playing rugby, but then at the age of 15 while still playing rugby i started listening to rock music and started playing guitar and writting my own songs, then i had to make a choice rugby or music, and music won. Me and my brother formed the band MADDEN about two years ago and have been witing and recording ever since, and searching for other members!!!, trying to start a band. So Just this year i decided to take a break from rock and go back to my roots, hence the Chris Madden solo project.
Chris Madden material differs from MADDEN material in the way that it is more country/ folk and more lyric infulenced, my influences would be, CCR, Bob seger, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Keith Urban and local acts like Brian Houston, Anthony Toner. All my material is recored at home in very simple recording setup, there all just demo quality, "havent the money to go to a studio". Well maybe if i could get a few gigs i could afford it.
