The smooth melodic feel good music is perfect for the summer and relates well to listeners of every background. Their unique sound and lyrics come from several styles and influences that each one of them brings to the group. Their style spawns from playing in the church, and listening to R&B, Acoustic pop, soft rock, and blues. The acoustic guitar driven songs make everyone stop and think. Many people have said they have a Maroon 5 vibe with a John Legend twist. They have also been compared to solo artist sounds like Jason Mraz, Gavin Degraw and Anthony Hamilton.
Bent Pages is a Band with passion for delivering quality music and lyrics that touch the soul of many listeners. The Group has a style and sound that stands alone. Their diverse sound from music to lyrics makes them a breath of fresh air in the music community for all ages. They started in a college apartment, in Springfield Missouri while attending school at Missouri State. The band now resides in Tulsa, Ok. They made their debut to the music world as the band named 8588, which didn’t last very long due to the loss of members and financial instability. Aaron Blake aka Marcus, wrote and created the songs for the band. He is the lead vocalist/guitarist and founder of Bent Pages. Aaron Blake has a pleasant style vocally that allows him to cross genres and his lyrics are attractive to many listeners. Kingjack, and yes that’s his real name, is the drummer. He has been with the band from the beginning as well; he is a key component of Bent Pages. He is a talented young drummer with creative pocket play and fills that give any listener chills down their spine. The lead guitarist is Cj Randolph, a new promising addition to the band with solid rhythmic play that woos any listener. Joe is also a new member who recently joined; he is very creative and stylistic bass/guitar player with musical knowledge and experience.
After a few years of down time, the band decided they weren’t done with making music just yet and are beginning to make a push back into the music scene.
