Before You Exit (BYE) is a band of young guys from central Florida – Orlando – that is rapidly making an impression on listeners of all ages across the country. The band certainly lives up to its inspirational name with an easily perceived mission statement that reminds all generations, to make a difference in the world…before you exit.

“A Short Story Long” is the title of BYE’s debut, demo CD released in early August, 2009. It’s now available on iTunes and other digital distribution websites. This album and its collection of songs is filled with upbeat and catchy sing-along melodies. The vocal harmonies are infectious with memorable chorus chants. This is a CD for all ages to enjoy!

Before You Exit began in 2007 when founding musicians Braiden Wood (guitar, vocals) and Connor McDonough (lead vocals, guitar) wanted to start a group that puts its own twist on pop rock music while influencing others. BYE was completed with the addition of Thomas Silvers, (drums) and McDonough’s brother, Riley McDonough, (bass guitar, vocals). Shortly after coming together, they were in high demand and could be found playing for a variety of local functions and events throughout central Florida. The guys all possess natural talents while each musician contributes a unique asset to the group. But collectively it’s their remarkable chemistry and performance charisma that draws the fans and separates them from other bands today. Their expanding fan base and popularity since the release of A Short Story Long is testimony that cannot be disputed – they’re fresh and current with a sound that is forming a lasting impact on the music industry.

To date, BYE’s original songs were written by Connor McDonough although all of the band members contribute to both lyrics and score lending their individual touches to the creative process. McDonough feels its important to stay connected to the listeners emotions or reactions to everyday life.

Before You Exit has played with several other bands at a variety of venues around Florida as well as other states. Some of these include playing Hard Rock Live resulting in the biggest door counts in over two years including classic rock album nights, according to events manager Tracy Mann. This past June the band opened the Get Healthy Florida Festival in Oviedo with Mandisa, Jake Owens, (CMA artist of the year), and 70’s iconic Orleans. Some of their other fundraising events include the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital Birthday Celebration along with Chris Kirkpatrick (Nsync) and other Write Entertainment artists.

With the release of their album and a busy year of bookings, their friends list and popularity continue to grow exponentially. Before You Exit is a young group of uniquely talented musicians introducing a fresh and sharp perspective to the pop-rock genre of music. But their universal mission statement and the artistic method by which they project it to a growing fan base, is and will be something to watch in the coming years.
