BYS merged in fall 2K8. That project rose from the ashes of the precursor band TURN THE PAGE. Steve (TURN THE PAGE) and Steven (CHOOSE YOUR SIDE / SERAPHS FALL) teamed up with Tim (7 LASTING STITCHES) on second guitar and Peter (POINT OF INFLECTION/RUN & HIDE) on the mic. The first show they filled in the free bass-player spot with Alex (BLEED INTO ONE / MANIFESTATION). At that first show Patrick (MANIFESTATION) was requested to do that job as a full time member and to cut a long story short, the line-up was completed. After a few shows with an awesome feedback, BYS decided to record a DEMO at the Crazy-Sound Studio in France. It was an instrumental live-recording with doing the vocals afterwards. The DEMOs were SOLD OUT really quick and BYS played some more shows with bands like DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR, NO TURNING BACK, MANIFESTATION, BLEED INTO ONE, SIRENS, PROGRESS, TURN AWAY, THE RÃ„TZ, HORDES, FAST POINT and a lot of 'local-heros'. The first full-length was recorded at the SU2 Studio by Phil Hillen and will be released by R.W.P.-Records in early 2010. BYS take influences of bands like NO WARNING, DEATH THREAT, BLACKLISTED and TRAPPED UNDER ICE and mix it with the classic and modern NYHC-Sound and a breeze of independence and a recognition-sound to create their style. Or in short, BYS is an angry, fast, hard, antisocial and pissed BASTARD!!!
