Autobiography of Man is essentially the story of one's life, a story that we can all relate to. Its rooted still in "Life, love, pain and sound". -Mark Mancini
After the dissolution of Stop Motion Skyline in March of 2012, Mark Mancini was left hungry. The group split as a result of varying musical interests going forward. Mark was ready to kick things up a notch, leaving the Pop Punk genre, and moving more towards the Hard Rock/Metal scene.
Soon after the breakup of SMS, an ad on craigslist brought in West Milford drummer, Dan Touw, a multi-genre drummer, who felt he had found a band that played music he enjoyed. His skills combine solid, technical handwork with thunderous, double-kick footwork.
After about 6 months, and several dead ends, the band's efforts to land the voice of the band proved futile. Mark then stepped up to the plate and took over on lead vocals, vacating his spot on guitar at live performances.
By October, 2012, the group had amassed a catalog of over 10 songs and agreed that it was time to put the noise to tape. AofM self-produced their full-length debut album, "Avenge Me", throughout December, January and February at Mark's Locked In a Closet Studios (Lodi, NJ), in hopes of an early 2013 release. The compilation includes themes addressing regret, angst, self-worth, piracy, and even death.
About a week into drum tracking, Ryan Struck, bassist of NJ Pop-Punk act, When Thieves Are About, hopped on board, on a part time basis, to complete the rhythm section.
Mike Green was originally added to the lineup as a live guitarist, in late 2012, but was eventually added to the lineup as a permanent guitarist.
Expect this hard working band to hit a stage near you in 2013.
