In the beginning, there was music, and it was great. And then, a vocalist, Dave Juntilla and a drummer, Engelbert Serdoncillo, made Agianan Sa Kahayag, or Pathway of Light. But the name cannot be as tangible without its other members Ryan Trinidad, Karl Lucente (both on guitars) and the bassist Jandy Barrientos. The band was of indie progressive alternative genre, which made music that won wars and battles within their realm's reach. The band's music influences are a bunch of OPM bands and several late 90's bands such as Soundgarden, Foo Fighters and Incubus.

But before Agianan Sa Kahayag was another brainchild, which was named Sodomah Gomorrah. Unlike the latter, Sodomah Gomorrah weaved harder music, on the metal and rap metal genres. At that time, there were only three members, Jess and Cinet on guitar and drums, and the vocalist, Dave Juntilla.

Recently, Agianan Sa Kahayag changed its name to Asignatura. It is not an overhaul of massive proportions, but a change of name.
