Zadar Yacht Charter Vacation

The town of Zadar is a popular tourist destination in north Dalmatia. The town and the surrounding area of coastal towns and islands contain many attractive sailing destinations. If you want to spend your vacations on a sailing trip, Zadar region is a great choice for a yacht charter. Explore the nearby islands and the coastline on skippered or bareboat sailboat. The peak of the season is during July and August, but you can also visit Zadar archipelago in the period from April to November.

Many ports and marinas are situated in the vicinity of Zadar. Some of the best marinas include: Marina Zadar, Marina Borik and Šangulin in Biograd. Marina Dalmacija is located in the neighboring town of Sukošan. It is the best place to sail from when visiting destinations such as Kornati national park. The archipelago containing a maze of more than 140 islands, islets and reefs is only accessible by a boat. Two main marinas in this area of tranquil sea and uninhabited islands are located on the islands of Piškera and Žut. Apart from Kornati islands there are two more national parks in the vicinity of Zadar: Paklenica and Krka waterfalls.


Sail to Skradin if you want to discover the beauty of the Krka national park. Some of the islands of Zadar archipelago worth visiting are: Dugi Otok, Murter and Pag. When visiting Dugi Otok make sure to include Telašćica bay in your sailing route. The nature park boasts numerous coves and anchorages, as well as a sea water lake, many islets within the bay and the dramatic view of cliffs.

The island of Pag is another interesting sailing destination near Zadar. The island, famous for its lace and cheese, is situated on the border between Kvarner region and north Dalmatia. Some of the settlements you should visit include: the town of Pag, Novalja and Lun.
