A Summer Love has been in the works since early 2006 when lead vocalist Steve Branon entered a time in his life where a passion for performing and singing took a dramatic turn from hardcore music to a very mellow indie style. Steven Has been writing music constantly since then and has been working on perfecting the select few that he wants for an album. Then Steven meet Drummer Luke Rockhold and realized that this solo project could have more of an impact on his friends and family as a band. A band that people could relate to and meet and fall in LOVE with. Luke, Steven, and several friends have been working on the songs since then to make them exactly the way they want them. Testing songs on friends and family members with acoustic concerts Luke and Steven travels around to meet people and spread the word about this new project. A Summer Love has been flipping though members and friends to help construct a band that is mellow space rock with the passion and movement of a hardcore show. Steven's Voice is delicate, and articulate in the way he conveys his lyrics. He is able to capture such emotion with a whisper, and the resounding of a trumpet the next. The shimmering guitar tones and bright leads with a driving bass line. The drums playing things that are unexpected, with a dance beat here and a driving breakdown of rhythms. Influences from many genres makes this music unlike anything in the music industry today. A SUMMER LOVE is a band that will move people. Taylor Jeffreye
