Born May 30, 1982, Anthony was grafted into a musical family with a long heritage that has spanned over a century. Raised in Southwest Georgia all of his life, his musical abilities began to surface at around age 5 when he began to teach himself the piano and guitar. A few years later, he branched out into several other instruments including the mandolin, banjo, autoharp, dobro, bass guitar, drums, along with many others.
Anthony's roots, which include bluegrass, classic rock, along with more modern alternative and acoustic pop influences, come together in what can only be described as such a well-rounded and balanced finished product that is pleasing to the ears and the heart. Anthony's parents, Marcia & Tony (Anthony Sr.), raised him and his sister, Miranda, in a Christian home full of love and diversity. "We were never held down to one thing, but in fact encouraged to seek the truth for ourselves which gave us a deeper faith and a deeper walk in Christ. We were all used to afternoons pickin' and grinnin' on the front porch, singing old country and bluegrass songs my parents and grandparents sang when they were small.", Anthony says.
At 14, he received Christ as his Savior and at 17 received the call of Christ on his life to minister. In 1999, after graduating, he pursued a two-year degree in computer sciences & graduated from a community college with several awards and certificates in the winter of 2001. In the fall of 2002, he became a Youth Pastor/Worship Leader at East Albany Church of God in Albany, GA. In the following Spring Anthony felt Gods leading to resign and pursue music full-time.
He currently serves as the Worship Leader at New Generations Church in Albany, GA while touring and performing across the country. We pray you are encouraged and blessed by Anthony's ministry.
In Anthony's words:
"I seek a new relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, every single day and I'm pursuing a greater level of intimacy with Him that I may continually grow in Him and know Him more. Jesus says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." All that matters in this world is our relationship with Christ. I challenge you, reader, to take the plunge into the very depths of Christ's Spirit and Truth...you'll never regret it..."
