A Heritage of Vergil is a German Death Metal/Hardcore band from Luenen, NRW, formed in 2009. The band claims their style is a combination of typical death metal/deathcore riffs conjoined with technical guitar shredding and lots of hardcore elements.
Since their inception the band has played a couple of great local shows but also some big concerts with great bands like Salt The Wound, War From a Harlot's Mouth or Arsonists Get All The Girls. Furthermore they released their first EP "Orphans of Metropolis" in spring 2010.
In summer 2010 the band broke up with former drummer Felix Krampe and a second vocalist, Nils Gronemeyer of A King's Worthy Mustache, joined the band together with the new drummer Andi Jeske. Deepening their own style the band aims for recording new songs until September 2010.
