9th Hour is an established regional Independent Adult Contemporary Christian Rock band that has been performing since 2004 at venues and events throughout the Midwest.
9th Hour derives its name from a passage found in Luke 23:44-46 - It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.
This is how it all started, but definitely not where it ends. 9th Hour is adopted a three prong approach to music and ministry: 1) To reach the lost & hurting with a musical message of hope (Mt 10:6); 2) to encourage others to be bold in sharing their faith - however they are equipped (Mt. 10:32); and 3) to "Sing to the Lord a new song, to play skillfully and shout for joy.' (Psalm 33:3)
With roots deep in Modern Praise & Worship, 9th Hour is influenced by a variety of musical styles as diverse as the catalog on I-Tunes. Primarily a guitar driven band, this group delivers a wide array of original music that is guaranteed to tickle the palate of most main stream musical tastes.
Many promoters and event planners want to know with what other bands a group has performed. 9th Hour has been blessed to have shared the stage with groups/artists like Selah, Phil Stacey, Wayne Watson, Decypher Down, Jeremy Riddle, Vota, Alisa Childers (ZoeGirl), John Schlitt (Petra), Bread of Stone, and have appeared on the same bill with other National Christian acts at festivals. Although 9th Hour is honored to have played with these artists, they feel that it is more important to recognize Who they are playing for.
The dynamic harmonies and meticulous guitar work, backed by a solid rhythm section of 9th Hour has earned them recognition at the KCCM Awards (Kansas City) and the Momentum Awards (Nashville) over the past few years.

Perfectly comfortable in concert settings at any size venue or event, 9th Hour is also a very accomplished and qualified worship band should that be your need or desire. The majority of the members currently serve on the worship team at Grace Community Church, where lead singer David is the worship leader.
9th Hour is an active member of Indieheaven and King Cat Music - two independent Christian music communities.
