"Breathe before you choke": since the very the beginning 7 Times Suicide core idea has been giving a new impulse to the Italian scene, getting away from all those conventions and schemes that have been so overworked.
7 Times Suicide first demo is "Last Friday on Earth", recorded at Temple of Noise studio in Rome. This work wont be promoted much since the band is determined in start working hard at a new album right away, recording new tracks and staking much on live shows.
The band gives birth to the project giving it the name Falling, which is a collection of nine songs selected from the bands repertoire at the time. The work gets completed in Junne 2003, entirely produced, recorded, and mixed by 7 Times Suicide. The album gets two nominations at Blue Arrow, an award sponsored by Italian webzines, winning in the 2003 Best Demo category.
At the end of 2003 Francesco leaves 7 Times Suicide for personal problems, but the band is determined to go on and finds the ideal substitute We got know Alex by chance, but we found a perfect mutual understanding right away.
2005 is the year in which 7 Times Suicide decide to mark a turning point in their work. So they start off the production of a new EP, in which all the bands experimentations undertaken by the band will be made concrete. Every single note will have to be sought-after and studied, with no unnecessary sounds; the purpose is to create something that is totally personal.
The production ends in 2006 with The Butterfly Factory going out Casket Music. The EP has been recorded at the Outer Sound Studios in Rome and mastered at Louie Terans Marcussen Mastering in Hollywood, and distributed worldwide by Plastic Head. The songs themes are dealt with through peculiar lyrics and intense sounds with a strong emotional impact.
While the EP get distributed, the band is working on live shows, playing with bands such as BoySetsFire and Funeral For A Friend.
The Butterfly Factory is just the starting point of a band that continues its journey.
A fundamental step of such a process is the realization of a promo recorded in October 2007, that includes three tracks. With "Father", "Walking on Sand" and "Close Enough" 7TS show all their composing skills moving onto a a more original and experimental sound.
