7SS first burst onto the scene in 1998, quickly taking their hometown of St. Louis by storm. Releasing a self-release 7" inch and selling over 1,500 copies of those and then in 1999, 7SS released "I Was a Teenage 7 Shot Screamer" LP, which sold over 2,000 copies Independently before being pickup by the Hepcat Records catalog, which has sold thousandths to date, that LP soon caught the grip on the Midwest and the rest of the country. Touring coast to coast, with a live show that is second to none, the 7SS mixes rockabilly, punk rock and 70's glam rock as some often describe as the New York Dolls, but with an upright bass. Time and again they are recognized as a band that mixes all the right elements, creating the ultimate rock-n-roll hybrid, bringing one of the best live shows in the country today.
