5one is a 5-man a cappella group residing in Decatur, Il. All members attend Millikin University. We just finished our first CD, GET IT. (mixed and produced by John Scott, also a Millikin student). We are currently participating in ICCA, and sang professionally at Navy Pier, Chicago, IL last summer.
"Trashin The Camp" - we basically took the Phil Collin's/NSYNC arrangement and made it a cappella for 5 guys...It may not have all the parts and little intricacies that the original does, but we like it and the crowd always seems to like it. We definitely had fun recording it in the studio.
"Pretty Woman" - this is one that people always seem to like quite a bit. it's an arrangement done by rockapella. that's David on the solo.
"Come Together" - this is defintely one of our favorites to sing and a favorite on our CD. Jesse arranged this one and does vocal percussion on it as well, while Shane rocks the solo.
"Fallin' Over You" - this is another rockapella arrangement that we very much enjoy. it was written by scott leonard of rockapella, and is a really fun song! Again, Shane 'owns' the solo in this one.
Hope you enjoy our music. If it didn't cost money to put more songs up, we would defintely do it. But instead, you could just buy our CD! It's 10 bucks and has 10 songs (well 11...there's a hidden track). You can order them online at www.millikin.edu/firststep. You can also visit our myspace.com/5oneguys to see videos and more pictures of us, and hear more music. We're also on YouTube.com if you type in "fleets navy pier".

My friends and I want to start a quintet but we dont want a beat boxer as one of the parts of the quintet. We have all been in a choir together for over 4 years so we have excellent singing abilities but no vocal percussionist abilities so can you give us some advice. DKIMSEY Sep 15
