mission

We desire to serve the church through music and the Word; bringing people to a place of worship where God is lifted up in their hearts. We believe that worship changes things because when God is lifted up in ones heart, all other things take their proper place. We have less an appetite for sin when our hearts are enamored with God, when we see Him as sovereign, the events of our life in all forms can begin to be seen woven together in the beautiful reality that is the will of God.

After leading worship for 8 years full-time, there is one thing Aaron Britton, leader of the modern worship group 519, has learned. "God is free, He isn't bound by what we think of Him, or what we think we will or won't do, He is absolutely free in His nature, actions, and gratefully, in His mercy towards us, . . .there is no limits on God in these things".

Having been through a variety of experiences in and out of the church, Aaron and the members of 519 have a vision that the current Christian climate would be God-centered, engulfed and focused on Him in all things. "Our generation has been constantly sold things, in and out of the church," Aaron says, " we've been sold so much that we're longing for something genuine and real, apart from commerce, or big corporate models, something alive and from the heart".

As the members of 519 have led worship in a variety of churches and campus groups, they have found a calling to exalt God above all else in what they sing, and in the whole of their life. For them worship must be a life-calling, not another meeting. As their songs have been lifted up at churches in Colorado and beyond, they hope that people see God through those songs, perhaps in a new way, perhaps bigger and more powerful to change their life, and intimate enough to meet them where they are.
