4th Clan was formerly known as Millenium. Rommel Valencia, founding member of millenium form the band in the early 90's with his college friends. they invaded the rock scene in angeles by playing glam and psychedelic rock such as jimmy hendrix, led zepellin. then came Kryz Umlas(vocals) replacing alvin as frontman of millenium. they won the first san miguel beer battle of the bands in region III in mid 90's. Allen (founding drummer of millenium) quit the band,Gilbert(Bassist) went to the US.Then came Former drummer of Dead Hungry Species(DHS) Diong De Leon replacing Allen. Dhon Moore replacing Gilbert (tribu Sampoguita). The third generation of millenium became the hottest band in angeles and also in different areas in Central luzon. playing Funk, Rock at its fullest.!!! in year 2000 dhon(bassist) left millenium to pursue his career in the US leaving millenium without a bassist.
they audition bass players around angeles to find a replacement for dhon. Paulo Refundo(Former bassist of Circle of Faith) join the group. they decided to change the band name and change their music as well. from Rock to Funk... We name the band 4th Clan because Paulo is the 4th Bassist of Millenium and "Clan" Meaning family... so we decided to name the band 4th Clan.after 16 years, 4th clan is still playing in different clubs like hard rock olongapo,Mayrics, Club dredd, Culture shock, Club S.E.X., Club Edge, Freedom Bar, Third World Bistro and events like Pulp summer slam, U.P. garden Musikahan, Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan, Breakfast at Studio 23 and MTVlokal Interview with Kc Montero. With having new members like randy(bassist) . Although they change thier type of music,and band members. we are still a family and we still keep in touch and support the group 100%. He describes himself as the soul fire of the Clan, adores all the members of the band, past and present. He is a very busy person, works as a musical scorer in ABS-CBN, loves cooking, keeps every member concomitant. "This is my extended family, and I love them, it is just like a puzzle, each piece acts an integral part of my mental picture". Meng Valencia / Richard Mendoza Music, internal and external of you, is what matters. Started from piano, then guitars to virtually almost all rock instruments. The most pessimistic guy in and outside the clan but the very vital person for he is the heart of the Clan. In spite of his busy schedules as a businessman and a musician, he never fails to give praise to the Almighty. He is also very loving to his family. "Music is the food for the soul and playing good music is the fulfillment of every musician." Randy Santos The band's bassist, a banker by day. Neckties and office barongs don't go in his way, as music runs in his veins. Though mainly influenced by Metallica, his versatile attitude fits perfectly in the Clan and his bass contributes to the firm foundation of its music. Diong de Leon "Powerplay! If that's what you want!" says this guy in the field of marketing and sales in I.T. The youngest and creative member in the Clan. "Chad Smith and Carter Beauford are my influences. I try to innovate something that will put me in respect, but most of all, do not forget the respect for your members because when you play, you understand each and everyone."
