Mark your calendars! On May 3rd, you'll have the chance to be the winning bidder on one-of-a-kind, autographed sports and music memorabilia as a part of the annual Herbie Rocks Auction! Herbie Rocks was founded by myself and my wife Janin as way to involve the music community in the life-saving and life-altering goals of Operation Herbie and the SickKids Foundation. "Operation Herbie is dedicated to bringing children from all over the world, who are in need of surgeries, to SickKids Hospital for medical treatment. The children are selected based on the severity of their medical needs and their lack of access to specialized medical care in their home country. No child needing medical care is denied treatment based on race, religion, geographic location or financial resources. Operation Herbie believes that the future of our world lies in the health and well being of our children; and there is no greater reason for generosity and compassion than to care for a child in need." This year, we have overwhelming support for the Foundation with tons of donations from many artists including Snoop Dogg, Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Backstreet Boys, Billy Talent, Bryan Adams, Blue Rodeo and Three Days Grace, as well as sports heroes including Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr, and the entire team of the 1972 record-holding Miami Dolphins! Many other items have been donated as well, including a leased Hummer for a year, several vacations, hockey tickets, and much more!
