37 STABWOUNDZ was born in the early summer of 2001 after Serve parted ways with the successful formation Born From Pain. With the intent never to leave the loud-music genre, but moreover to start a new project, he caught up with Roy, Mike and Richard to complete the collective which received the name 37 STABWOUNDZ.
The band started doing gigs late summer of that very same year, providing the audience a contemporary interpretation of 90's style metal and hardcore. The demoCD Ain't life grand..., available at that time, was received well, though 2002 was not more than a transient passage before taking it to the next level; the first full length! While started in the spring of 2003, it were falling leaves accompanying the completion of the nine professionally recorded songs. A few months later Garden of Exile records brought the highly anticipated Embrace Solitude album on the market around the globe.
Hereafter, the band embarked on an intense journey performing at numerous international gigs and festivals in 2004 and 2005, containing highlights like the Pinkpop festival, the Goudvishal 20th Anniversary fest, Bilbao Winter BASH, the Deadfest, Noordschok and the by Converse sportswear sponsored Choose Your Weapon tours, rendering the band to play and tour throughout all of Europe alongside the likes of Madball, Dillinger Escape Plan, Crowbar, Eighteen Vision, E-Town Concrete, The Gathering, Burst, Stretch Arm Strong and Peter Pan Speedrock.
With a fierce live reputation the band is one of the most talented heavy bands from Holland. Ready to step even more up to the forefront in the European loud-music scene 37 STABWOUNDZ signed with GSR music. GSR music recently released their hardest and heaviest offering entitled "A Heart Gone Black", which is out NOW in Europe, USA and Japan!

37 STABWOUNDZ is very sad to inform you that due to a sudden, unexpected, childish act of non-sense, the venue-budget for the show this Saturday (16th of June) at the Boerderij in Geleen has been withdrawn by the boss in command of the venue-promoter, who set up the show together with Till Death productions.
Therefore it was inevitably decided to cancel the show.
We're very sorry for this last minute cancellation, as this would have been our last local show to share with you guys. Hopefully we'll see you all tonight at Fenix, Sittard (NL) at our show with Walls of Jericho or next week, the 23rd of June, with Textures in Boxmeer (NL).

To cut to the chase:
37 STABWOUNDZ has decided to bring their career to an end. Though music- / band-wise things are running fine, personal priorities have become more important to some of us. We can no longer put ourselves up a 100% for the cause of the band and since 37 STABWOUNDZ only takes on things with both hands and wishes to do so exclusively with the current band members, we decided to quit, being able to look back at 6 years of nothing but a great time! No further bullshit stories attached...

A special notification to this coming weekend as we will do our last local shows this Friday the 15th of June with Walls of Jericho at Fenix (Sittard, NL) and this Saturday the 16th of June at De Boerderij (Geleen, NL) with our buddies in the Setup, Zero Mentality, Blood Redemption, BloodTrial, Disloyal, and Dead End Path.
We want to thank GSR music, Garden of Exile and our bookers for believing in 37 STABWOUNDZ and all the people over Europe who supported, looked after and worked with us throughout the years. We certainly enjoyed every minute of it! Hopefully we'll meet again on another level or at the bar with a beer at a show.
Nevertheless, all band members will however stay involved in music and the scene:
Roy will continue to operate full time in the music business, predominantly as (freelance) performer, always on the look-out for new projects, so if you are in need of a drummer you can contact him at roy37swz@hotmail.com. In addition, he will maintain his activities as a teacher at the Maastricht Drumschool and producer / songwriter in his recording studio.
Mike will remain active in the music-scene, though not on a full-scale level, but project wise in the near future. He will now fully concentrate on Xeroine Design, which creates (band) artwork, websites, logo's, t-shirt designs, flyers and loads more..

Also Remko will remain active in the scene. Music-wise he will be looking for new challenges in the near future. Next to that his focus will be on his filming and designing career, also he will continue his freelance work on producing music-videos. (www.myspace.com/remko)
Serve will avoid the live-stage in the future, but he and his Renault Trafic bus will start a smalltime tour logistics service, for upcoming bands in desperate need of a cheap van for shows. A website will be prepared soon, until then use crycas@hotmail.com for contact.

Were back from our two weeks supportive contribution to Born From Pains the WAR is on headline-tour and the dictionary simply lacks the words to explain how much fun we had,it was a fucking BLAST! We made a lot of new friends, played great shows, had hilarious after show parties and visited a lot of new places.
37 STABWOUNDZ wants to thank Born From Pain for taking us with them on this awesome event and the other featured bands First Blood and The Setup for a great time as well as M.A.D. tourbooking and tourmanager Marcus Schlumpf for his coordination and taking care of us on site. A special gratitude is expressed towards our buddies in The Setup for helping us out so extensively with our van-problems and nursing those of us who got ill on toursee you in Antwerp soon!

With regard to tour-bookings for the Netherlands, 37 STABWOUNDZ made the official transfer from Loudnoise Productions to the Trigger Agency as of today. Loudnoise and 37 STABWOUNDZ have dislodged their cooperations on a basis of friendly consensus. Both parties experienced diverging priorities over the last few periods, resulting in the need for 37 STABWOUNDZ to hook up with another, new partner; Nils Masselink at Trigger Agency. We are really looking forward to working together with Nils, who's also responsible for Benelux bookings of other fine bands such as Angel Crew, Callenish Circle, Bleeding Through, Caliban, Threat Signal and Dog Eat Dog.
