In the 2001 beginning, three colleagues of the south zone of Brasilia had reformulated a band, witch until then, did not have a name. They played rock, but they felt that the way of the proper musics was another one, in way to a series of problems that obrigated the integrants to separate ones from anothers for a time, appeared the idea to compose letters of rap.
Was born another garage band, the 288 Band, that means formation of group on the Brazilian criminal code.
The band mixes HIP-HOP with a great variety of influences,on the RAP style of the letters speaking of the society, government and some experiences they lived deeply.
Soon in the first assays the band showed well in the musical intermeshing. They had started composing the idea with a drum player that soon abandoned the band, witch followed the way of the electronic strokes.
They had started presenting at UNB (Federal University of Brasilia), and had been appearing chances in particular events, what it took the band to reach a young public, university, that not only makes the reflection of the RAP as well as represents Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, where the musical scene is very ample and politician, a "satiated table" "to shoot" rhymes at the public, witch, in formation of its ideologies and opinions, can see in certain musics experiences and important ideas.
With 1 year of assay, the band recorded a base material for elaboration of the compact disc that probaly can be launched in the year of 2006, intitled of "Alone the Real".
288 Band participated of some festivals as: F.I.C.O. FESTIVAL, MUSICALANGO FESTIVAL, and CALOURADA CEUB.

288 significa formacao de quadrilha no codigo penal, leva um Hip-Hop com estilo inovador.
Sob rimas fortes e marcantes, a banda nasce para trazer ao publico uma nova forma de pensar e agir.
No inicio de 2001, tres colegas da zona sul de Brasilia reformularam uma banda que ate entao nao tinha nome, eles tocavam rock, mas sentiam que o caminho das musicas proprias era outro.
Em meio a uma serie de problemas que deixou os integrantes separados por um tempo surgiu a ideia de compor letras de rap. Assim nasceu mais uma banda de garagem , a Banda 288.
A banda mistura HIP-HOP com uma grande variedade de influencias ,no estilo RAP das letras falando da sociedade, governo e algumas vivencias .
Logo nos primeiros ensaios, a banda se mostrou bem no entrosamento musical.
Comecaram compondo a ideia com um baterista que logo deixou a banda.
A Banda 288 seguiu o caminho das batidas eletronicas. Comecaram se apresentando na U.N.B., e foram surgindo oportunidades em eventos particulares, o que levou a banda a atingir um publico jovem, universitario, que nao so faz o reflexo do RAP, bem como representa Braslia, a capital do Brasil e que tem um cenario politico muito amplo, uma "mesa farta" para "cuspir" as rimas no publico que, em formacao de suas ideologias e opinioes, pode ver nas musicas certas experiencias e ideias importantes.
Com 1 ano de ensaio, a banda gravou um material base para elaboracao do cd que deve ser lancado no ano de 2006, intitulado de "So a Real"
A banda 288 participou de alguns festivais como: FESTIVAL F.I.C.O., FESTIVAL MUSICALANGO, e CALOURADA CEUB.
