Members: Winslow Marshall, Devon Barley, Brendan Killarney, Harry Yates, Peter Clark
Biography:
In January of 2009, they began to record their first full-length album. They spent twelve sessions at a professional studio in Rhode Island. After five months of recording and mixing, 22 Foot Drop put the finishing touches on ten new original songs. Once completed, the album was entitled "Rally Point" and released May 20th, 2009.
"Rally Point" illustrates a unique style of creativity. Songs like "Depth of Memory" and "Barriers Down" show 22 Foot Drop has more than one side to their music. This album also features a combination of different instruments. "Anywhere But Here" has a horn section that gives the song a more upbeat ska feel. "Come Home" features a string quartet, playing an arrangement written by the band to give the song a more textured sound.
Now, 22 Foot Drop plans to promote their music by playing more concerts and selling their new album. The band hopes to release an EP mid-summer that will have songs that were written after 'Rally Point's release.
