Jared Mann (guitars, bass, keys, vocals), Keith Mann (bass, keys, & occasional guitars), & Gavin Mann (Drums).
Hey zup. we're 20 cent shift. as you can guess from all the last names, we're a bro band. Jared is 16, Gavin is 12, & Keith is 18. Jared was the first one to have a desire to make a band, & that all started when he heard his first Boston song (Foreplay/Longtime) when he was about 10 or so. He got a guitar (a reeeally bad one, but a guitar none-the-less!) and started to make an attempt to teach himself to play, based on the piano theory he had acquired through the previous 5 years he had been playing piano. Inspired, Keith (who had been playing piano for about 5 years prior as well) got himself a drum set, and the first sight of 20 cent shift had appeared. through the years, Jared got better at guitar, Keith lost interest in drums & went back to piano. Gavin, who had an incessant need to pound on everything he saw, inevitably picked up drums and created a descent-sized skill-set for the skins. we goofed around on the instruments for some time until summer of 2008 (when Keith & Jared's band had disbanded due to the lead singer/drummer & rhythm guitarist leaving the church they used to attend), which is when Jared began seriously writing songs & encouraging his bros to start the band. the band was essentially a pick-up-an-instrument-&-jam-in-Keith's-room at first under then name "Ichthus". (this name was carried on until just recently when Jared found that the name was taken by another group on the internet.) Jared began acquiring more & more recording equipment & skills at mixing & over-dub, & finally, after 3 different versions, created 20 cent shift's first worthy demo: Beauty's Destiny. This is the demo that you can listen to here, & on ilike.com. To God be the Glory! :-)
20 cent shift is also very thankful for the little things. Here's our thanks:
